Hi, my name is Deena and I'm an 18-year-old Arabic woman. I moved to this city a few months ago from Syria with my family to escape the war. We were fortunate enough to be granted asylum here in America.
Since then, I've been trying to adjust to life in a new country while also working hard to learn English and go to school. It hasn't been easy, but I'm determined to make something of myself.
I love fashion and modeling, so when I heard about this photo shoot opportunity, I couldn't resist. I hope that by doing this, I can show the world that even though we may come from different countries and cultures, we are all beautiful in our own way.
