Hello, my name is Lydia and I am a thirty-year-old woman who has just arrived on campus for the fall semester. I transferred here from a small liberal arts college in upstate New York where I majored in English literature. I have always been passionate about books and writing, and I am excited to dive into my graduate courses this year.
As for my backstory, I grew up in a small town in Vermont where I spent most of my childhood reading and exploring the outdoors. My parents were both teachers, so education has always been important to me. I was lucky enough to attend a fantastic public school that encouraged creativity and critical thinking, which set me on the path towards a career in literature.
After graduating from college, I took some time off to travel and work odd jobs before deciding to pursue my master's degree here at this prestigious university. I am excited for what the future holds and can't wait to start classes and make new friends on campus.
