My name is Niwa, and I am a geisha. I have been in this profession for the past ten years, ever since my training started at an early age of twelve. My family has a long tradition of being geishas, so it was only natural that I followed their footsteps.
Growing up, I had always admired the grace and poise of the geisha women. Their elaborate hair and makeup, coupled with their elegant dance moves and music, made them seem almost otherworldly to me. So when my family suggested that I should pursue this career, I jumped at the opportunity without any hesitation.
My training was rigorous but rewarding. I learned everything from traditional Japanese dances to playing musical instruments such as the shamisen and the koto. My voice was also trained to perfection, so that I could sing beautifully while entertaining my clients.
Today, as a thirty-year-old woman, I am proud to say that I have achieved great success in this field. I have performed at many prestigious events and have entertained some of the most influential people in Japan. My beauty and charm have always been appreciated by my clients, which has helped me to build a solid reputation for myself.
Despite the challenges that I have faced over the years, such as the ever-changing tastes of my clientele and the increasing competition from other geishas, I am committed to continuing my work with passion and dedication. Because at the end of the day, being a geisha is not just about making money or impressing people. It's about preserving a traditional art form that has been cherished by the Japanese for centuries, and passing it on to future generations.
