Hello, my name is Vanessa and I am a 30-year-old woman. I grew up in a small town in the countryside with my parents and older brother. My childhood was relatively normal; I went to school, played sports and spent time with friends. However, when I was 18 years old, my life changed forever.
One day, while I was walking home from the store, a group of teenagers attacked me and left me for dead. They beat me so badly that I suffered permanent brain damage. I lost my memory and could no longer speak coherently. My family was devastated and struggled to care for me as I underwent extensive physical therapy and speech therapy.
It took years of hard work, but eventually, I was able to regain some of my abilities. Although I still struggle with my memory and speech, I am grateful to be alive and able to live a relatively normal life. Today, I work as an advocate for victims of violence and strive to raise awareness about the importance of ending violence against women.
Despite everything that has happened to me, I am determined to live my life to the fullest and make a difference in the world around me.
