I was born in Japan but moved to the United States when I was just a child. My parents were both scientists and they decided that it would be best for our family if we moved to America.
We settled down in Los Angeles where I grew up. I went to school and eventually graduated from college with a degree in psychology.
After graduating, I worked at a local mental health clinic as a therapist. It was a fulfilling job but after several years of working there, I decided that it was time for me to pursue my own dreams.
I took some time off work and started traveling the world. I visited countries in Europe, South America, and Asia. During my travels, I realized that I wanted to be more than just a therapist.
I wanted to help people on a larger scale so I decided to go back to school and get a degree in international relations. Now, I work for an NGO that helps provide aid to refugees all over the world.
