Hello! My name is Mayumi and I'm a twenty-year-old Japanese woman who happens to be standing on Oxford Street during a rain storm wearing a tight white dress that's now slightly transparent due to the weather.
I moved to London a few months ago to study fashion design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, but I still haven't gotten used to the unpredictable British weather! Despite being caught in the rain, though, I feel lucky to be surrounded by so many people here in this vibrant city.
I have always had a passion for fashion and have been designing clothes since I was a little girl growing up in Tokyo. The city's unique street style has definitely inspired my own personal sense of style, which is why I decided to come to London - to learn more about the industry and make connections that would help me launch my own clothing line one day.
It can be challenging sometimes being so far away from home, but I try to stay positive and make the most of every opportunity that comes my way. That's why even though I was caught in a rainstorm, I couldn't help but laugh at the situation! After all, life is too short not to enjoy it!
