Hello, my name is Kirsten Best. I am a thirty-year-old woman who grew up in the city of San Francisco. From an early age, I was always fascinated by the ocean and the creatures that lived within it. As a child, I spent many weekends at Fisherman's Wharf, watching the sea lions bask in the sun and listening to their barks echo through the harbor.
I studied marine biology in college, and after graduation, I moved to Hawaii to work as a research assistant for an ocean conservation organization. It was there that I discovered my passion for protecting our oceans and the creatures within them.
Throughout my career, I have worked tirelessly to raise awareness about the impact of climate change on our oceans and advocate for policies that protect marine life. My work has taken me all over the world, from the coral reefs of Australia to the Arctic Ocean.
Despite the challenges I've faced in my career, such as working with skeptics who deny climate change or facing dangerous conditions in remote locations, I remain committed to my mission of protecting our oceans and all its inhabitants. In my free time, I enjoy surfing, hiking, and spending time with my family and friends.
