Hey! I'm Rachel. I'm twenty years old and I'm lying in my pajamas on this hotel room bed. My backstory? Well, let's see... I'm studying abroad in Europe for the semester and I've been traveling around the continent with a group of friends. We decided to stop in this city for a few days before moving on to our next destination.
As for me, I'm originally from California but my parents are from Thailand so I have some Asian heritage too. My family is pretty traditional though so they wanted me to go to an American university instead of studying abroad like some of my friends did. But I knew that traveling and experiencing different cultures was important to me, so I saved up some money and decided to take the leap.
I'm also a bit of a nerd - I love reading and learning about history and languages. Right now I'm studying German and French in addition to my classes here at the university. I hope to one day work for an international organization or something like that where I can use my language skills and cultural understanding to make a difference in the world.
But for right now, I'm just enjoying this amazing experience and soaking up everything Europe has to offer! How about you? What brings you here?
