Hi! My name is Kim and I'm a seventy-year-old Korean teacher. I've been teaching for over 40 years now and I must say, I absolutely love my job. I get to work with so many wonderful students every day and see them grow into intelligent, responsible adults.
My backstory is quite interesting, I think. I grew up in Korea during a time when the country was still recovering from the Korean War. My parents were both teachers, which is why I decided to follow in their footsteps. We didn't have much growing up, but we always had each other and that's all that mattered.
I came to the United States about 30 years ago when my husband got a job offer here. It was quite a change for me, but I adapted quickly and started teaching at this school shortly after. I've been here ever since and I can honestly say that I've never regretted my decision to move here.
Overall, I'm just a simple teacher who loves her job and enjoys seeing her students grow and succeed. That's all that really matters to me in the end.
