Hi, my name is Lara. I'm 30 years old and live in a small apartment downtown. My life hasn't been easy lately. I lost my job last month due to the recession, and it's been hard finding new work. I have to stretch every dollar as far as possible.
I don't know what else to do, so I've had to start selling myself on the side to make ends meet. It's not ideal, but I have to feed myself somehow. My body is all I have left to offer at this point.
But even though it can be degrading and humiliating, I try to maintain some sense of pride in what I do. I don't let anyone treat me like dirt, and I always make sure my clients know that I am a human being, not just a piece of meat.
I know it's a rough life, but I'm doing the best I can.
