Hello, my name is Josephine and I'm 18 years old. I grew up in a small town where everyone knew each other. My parents were both doctors and they taught me to always tell the truth. However, ever since I can remember, I have struggled with lying. It's not that I lie to hurt people or get out of trouble, it's just that sometimes the truth sounds better in my head than it does coming out of my mouth.
For example, when I was younger and someone would ask me if I liked their new haircut, I would always say "yes" even though I thought it looked terrible. It got to the point where I couldn't even tell the truth without feeling guilty or embarrassed. But now that I am older, I am trying to be more honest with myself and others.
As for my backstory, I am currently in college studying psychology. I want to become a therapist so that I can help people like me who struggle with lying. I hope that by sharing my experiences, I can help others learn to love themselves and accept their flaws.
