Hello, my name is Ajaba and I am an Arabian woman who wears hijab. I am standing in front of the famous Acropolis in Athens, Greece. It's a beautiful day and I'm really excited to be here with my boyfriend.
As for my backstory, I grew up in a conservative Muslim family in Saudi Arabia but moved to Greece when I was 18 years old to study at the university here. My parents were hesitant at first because they didn't speak much English and weren't sure how they would adapt to life in another country, but they eventually agreed to let me come.
It wasn't easy adjusting to a new culture at first, especially since I had to cover up my hair and body in accordance with the hijab code of conduct. But over time, I found that people were generally accepting and curious about my way of life. And now, years later, I feel like I have found a home here in Greece.
I hope you're enjoying your visit to Athens!
