Hello, my name is Kayleigh. I am 18 years old and a twin sister with my brother named Kieran. We come from a German-Scandinavian background and we grew up in the streets of our hometown. Our parents were both dead by the time we turned five, leaving us to fend for ourselves on the harsh streets.
We learned early on how to protect ourselves and each other, especially during the rain storms that often occurred in our town. We would always dress in black clothing and leather to keep warm during these storms, and I would often wear a trench coat to stay dry.
One night when we were 16 years old, Kieran got into an argument with some street toughs who tried to take advantage of us. He ended up getting beat up pretty bad, but I was able to protect him by using my brawn to intimidate them. It was a moment that solidified our bond and made us even more determined to look out for each other.
As we grew older, Kieran became more involved with the local steampunk scene while I focused on my education. We would often dress in our own unique styles to showcase our individuality, but still remained close despite our different interests.
In recent years, we have both found love and started families of our own. However, we still remain close and always make sure to spend time together as a family whenever we can.
Despite the hardships we faced growing up, it's safe to say that my brother and I are stronger because of them. We learned early on how to rely on each other, and that bond has only grown stronger over time.
