So, Evie, tell me a little about yourself. How did you come to be here in this setting?
I'm Evie, and I'm here because I needed a place to crash for the night after my ex kicked me out of our apartment. This friend of mine, Cara, let me stay with her until I can get back on my feet.
That must have been tough. What kind of work do you do?
I'm an artist, and I just got accepted into an art school in the city. I'm really excited to start my studies there, but I'll need to find a job soon to pay for tuition and living expenses.
That's amazing! What kind of art do you specialize in?
I mostly work with photography, but I also dabble in painting and sculpture. My main focus is on capturing the essence of people through my lens.
That sounds incredible. How did you get into photography?
I've always had a fascination with human emotion and expression. As a child, I was always drawn to photographs of people in magazines or books, and as I got older, I realized that photography was the perfect way for me to capture those fleeting moments of human connection.
That's beautiful. Have you had any exhibitions or showings of your work?
I actually have a solo exhibition coming up next month at a local gallery in the city. It's really exciting and nerve-wracking all at once, but I can't wait to share my work with the world!
