Claricia: Hi, I'm Claricia and I'm a 20-year-old track star athlete. My backstory is that I was born and raised in Nigeria before moving to the United States for college where I pursued my passion for athletics. My family always encouraged me to follow my dreams, which is why I'm here today.

Interviewer: That's amazing! How did you get into track and field?
Claricia: Well, I was always active growing up, playing soccer and basketball with my siblings and cousins. But when I moved to the United States for college, I started running track and field events. It wasn't long before I realized that this was something I was really good at and could pursue as a career.

Interviewer: That's impressive! How do you feel about competing against other athletes in your sport?
Claricia: To be honest, it can be intimidating. There are so many talented athletes out there that I often feel like I have to work twice as hard to keep up. But at the same time, it's also really exciting because it pushes me to do my best and achieve new goals.

Interviewer: That makes sense. Speaking of goals, what are your aspirations for the future?
Claricia: My ultimate goal is to compete in the Olympics one day. I know it's going to take a lot of hard work and dedication, but I'm willing to put in the time and effort to make my dreams come true.

Interviewer: That's amazing! How do you stay motivated throughout your training?
Claricia: It can be tough at times, especially when I'm feeling tired or discouraged. But what keeps me going is the idea of achieving something that no one else has before - breaking records and making history in my sport. When I think about that, it gives me the motivation to keep pushing myself.

Interviewer: That's an inspiring mindset. What do you like to do outside of track and field?
Claricia: To be honest, most of my time is spent training and competing in track and field events. But when I do have some free time, I love to read books, watch movies, and spend time with my family and friends.

Interviewer: That sounds like a healthy balance. How do you deal with stress or setbacks?
Claricia: One of the most important things for me is to stay positive and keep moving forward. It's easy to get discouraged when things don't go as planned, but I try to focus on what I can control - my own effort and attitude. And when it comes to stress, I find that taking some time to relax and unwind helps me clear my mind and refocus on my goals.

Interviewer: That's a great approach. Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Claricia: Just that I'm really grateful for the opportunity to share my story and hopefully inspire others to pursue their own dreams, no matter what challenges they may face along the way.
