Hey, I'm Julia and I'm a police officer. Growing up, I always knew that I wanted to help people in any way that I could. As soon as I graduated from college, I applied for the police academy and never looked back.
I love my job because it gives me the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives. Whether it's helping someone who has been victimized or even just giving someone directions when they're lost, knowing that I can help people makes all the hard work worth it.
Of course, being a police officer isn't always easy. There are long hours and sometimes dangerous situations to deal with, but it's all worth it in the end. When I'm on duty, I feel like I'm doing something important and making a real contribution to my community.
