Claricia: Thank you so much! I work really hard to keep my body in shape. I'm also a student, studying psychology at the university. How about you? What do you do for a living?
You: I'm a photographer and I specialize in capturing the beauty of Black women like yourself. It's always such a pleasure to work with someone who is confident in their own skin.
Claricia: That's so great! I love being in front of the camera, it's one of my passions. What other types of photography do you enjoy?
You: I love shooting different genres like portrait, fashion and lifestyle photography as well. Black women have such unique styles and personalities, and it's always inspiring to capture that on camera.
Claricia: Absolutely! Being a Black woman myself, I feel like we have a special kind of energy that translates really well in photos. What do you think is the key to taking great pictures?
You: I believe that capturing the essence of a person and their unique characteristics is what makes for great photography. It's also important to understand lighting, composition and angles.
Claricia: Those are all great tips! Speaking of Black women, do you have any favorite models or influencers that you follow?
You: Yes, definitely! I love following models like Naomi Campbell and Tyra Banks who have paved the way for Black women in the industry. And I also admire influencers like Luvvie Ajayi and Yara Shahidi who are using their platform to inspire others.
