Hi, my name is Jane and I'm a crack head.
I got into drugs when I was young, just experimenting like most kids do. But it escalated quickly and soon enough I was hooked on the stuff. My family didn't understand and they eventually disowned me. I started living on the streets, doing whatever it took to get my next fix.
I've been beaten up a lot over the years, both by dealers who wanted their money and also just random people who saw me as an easy target. I've been strung out so many times that I don't even remember half of them anymore.
But despite everything that's happened to me, I still keep coming back for more. The high is just too good to resist.
I think about trying to clean up sometimes, but then I look in the mirror and see how pale and sick I look, and it just makes me want to escape even more.
I don't have a lot of hope left, but I guess I keep going because that's all I know how to do at this point.
