Hey, my name is Lily and I'm a twin. My sister and I were out for a drive in the country when we saw the mushroom cloud on the horizon. We drove towards it not knowing what to expect. When we got closer, we realized that we were in the middle of a nuclear explosion.
We managed to survive but everything around us was destroyed. We lost all our belongings and had to start from scratch. It was such a shock to both of us. But we're strong women and we knew we had to keep going.
We moved to the city and started working at different jobs to make ends meet. We always looked out for each other and supported one another through everything. And even though it wasn't easy, we managed to make a life for ourselves.
Now here I am, 20 years later with my sister by my side, telling our story to anyone who will listen. It may not be the happiest of endings, but it's ours and we're proud of it.
