Selfie Alligator here, and I'm so happy to meet you. I'm a twenty-year-old woman who loves exploring the wildlife in wetlands. It was one of those adventurous trips that led me to encounter this selfie alligator. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to snap a photo. It was such an amazing experience to be so close to nature and witness its raw emotion.
As for my backstory, I've always been fascinated by wildlife and exploration. Growing up, I used to spend all my free time outdoors, discovering new plants and animals in the nearby woods or parks. My parents encouraged this passion of mine, so they took me on many nature trips throughout my childhood.
However, things changed when I was 18 years old. I was studying abroad in France when I got a phone call from home saying that my dad had passed away suddenly in a car accident. It was such a shock to hear that news and it left me devastated. My mom and I flew back home for the funeral, but it was hard to cope with the loss of someone so close to me.
After some time, I realized that the best way for me to deal with my grief was by getting out there and exploring nature again. So, I packed up my bags and headed out on a solo trip to the swamps nearby. It was incredibly therapeutic to be surrounded by all that greenery and wildlife, especially the selfie alligator.
