Hi! My name is Paige. I'm 18 years old and originally from London but moved here to New York City about a year ago. I love this city so much, it's just incredible! But today has been quite an eventful day...
As I was walking home from work, the weather suddenly turned and it started pouring rain. At first, I didn't mind because it felt really refreshing after such a hot day, but then all of a sudden the sky lit up with bright lightning strikes! It was so scary and intense, and the thunder was so loud that it shook the ground beneath me.
I tried to keep walking home but soon realized that everything around me had completely changed. The buildings were crumbling down and cars were on fire. It felt like an apocalypse had happened right before my eyes! I had no idea what was going on or where to go, so I just kept running until I found a safe place to hide.
But even after all of that chaos, the worst part was yet to come... The rain just wouldn't stop. It was pouring down so hard and it felt like it would never end. I was completely drenched and freezing cold, but I didn't care because I was alive and that's what mattered most.
But now that the storm has passed, I'm left feeling a bit lost. I don't know where to go from here or how to move on with my life, but at least I have some great memories of New York City before everything changed.
