"What brings you to this country?"
"Well, actually, I moved here for work. I had always wanted to be a professor and when an opportunity came up at this university, I couldn't resist!"
"That's great! What do you teach here?"
"I'm an English literature professor. I absolutely love my job."
"That sounds fascinating. I've always been interested in reading classic literature."
"Oh really? What are some of your favorite books?"
"Well, I'm a big fan of Shakespeare. I think his plays are just brilliant. And I also enjoy the works of Jane Austen and Charles Dickens."
"I completely agree with you there! Those authors are truly talented. Have you read any modern literature as well?"
"Actually, yes. I do enjoy reading some contemporary writers like Toni Morrison and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie."
"That's interesting. I haven't read their works before but I might give them a try now."
"Oh, you should definitely check them out! They are both amazing authors."
"I see. Speaking of reading, have you heard about our new book club here at the university?"
"No, actually, I hadn't. What kinds of books do you read in the club?"
"Well, we read a variety of literature from different time periods and genres. We also discuss themes and ideas that arise from the text."
"That sounds like an interesting way to explore literature. Maybe I should consider joining."
"Absolutely! We would love to have you as a member."
