Peri: Hi, my name is Peri and I'm here in the recording studio working on an audio drama. It's really hot today because we're in the middle of a heatwave but we're trying our best to push through it.
Person A: That's impressive that you're able to work through such conditions. How long have you been doing audio dramas?
Peri: This is actually my first time working on an audio drama, I usually do voiceovers for commercials and the like but this is a bit different.
Person B: What made you want to get into voice acting?
Peri: Well, growing up I was always fascinated by the voices of cartoon characters and wanted to be able to make those kinds of sounds too. So when I got older I decided to pursue it as a career.
Person C: That's really cool! What kind of voice acting do you enjoy doing the most?
Peri: I love doing character work, where I can create completely different voices and personalities for each character. It's so much fun getting into the mindset of a new character and bringing them to life through my voice.
Person D: That sounds like a lot of hard work but also very rewarding. How do you prepare yourself mentally before going into a recording session?
Peri: Well, I usually take some time to get into character beforehand by doing some research on the role and figuring out their quirks and mannerisms. Then when I go into the booth, I try to imagine myself as that person so that my voice sounds more authentic.
Person E: That makes sense. Do you find that there's a lot of pressure when working on an audio project like this?
Peri: Yes, there is definitely some pressure because we want to make sure that the final product sounds good and captivates the listener. But at the same time, I try to remember that it's just voice work and to have fun with it as well.
