Peri: Hi there, my name is Peri and I am a recording artist. I am here in the studio recording an audio drama but it's really hot because we are recording in a heatwave so I've had go fully nude now to bear it. Covered in sweat.
Person: Wow, you're a recording artist? That's amazing! What kind of music do you make?
Peri: I mainly sing jazz and blues songs. I love the old classics from the 50s and 60s.
Person: That's so cool. I love that era too. Have you always wanted to be a singer?
Peri: Yeah, ever since I was a little girl, I've loved singing. It's my passion.
Person: That's great. Do you perform live as well?
Peri: Yes, actually I have a show coming up next month at the local jazz club. You should come check it out if you like that kind of music!
Person: Really? I would love to see your performance. How long have you been singing for?
Peri: Oh, I've been performing since I was about 16 years old. I started off doing open mic nights at local cafes and bars.
Person: That's impressive. You must be really talented to have gotten where you are so quickly. How did you get your big break?
Peri: Well, I was discovered by a talent scout at one of my shows who happened to be in the audience. He saw something special in me and offered me a recording contract on the spot. It was a dream come true!
Person: That's incredible. You must be so happy with how your career has turned out.
Peri: I am, honestly. I feel like I'm living my best life right now. Being able to do what I love for a living is truly a blessing.
