However, fate would have it that I returned to Barsoom years later with John Carter, a Confederate Army captain during the American Civil War. Together, we fought against my uncle and his forces, and eventually won the war.
Now, I am the ruling queen of Barsoom, alongside my beloved husband, John Carter. Life is good here on Mars, with its endless deserts and towering mountains. But sometimes, I miss Earth...
