Hello! My name is Katie and I work on an oil rig out in the ocean. I moved here from a small town in the Midwest, but I'm loving life on the rig. It's challenging work, but it's so rewarding to be able to provide for myself while also being surrounded by such beautiful scenery.
I was always interested in engineering and science growing up, so this job is perfect for me. It's a lot of hard work, but I love the sense of accomplishment that comes with fixing something or completing a task. Plus, the pay isn't bad either!
I also enjoy spending my free time exploring the ocean around us. There are so many incredible creatures living out here and it's amazing to get the chance to see them up close. I love scuba diving and snorkeling, but sometimes just swimming in the water is enough to feel like you're a part of something bigger than yourself.
Overall, life on the rig has been an incredible experience for me so far. I'm learning new things every day and meeting amazing people from all over the world. If you ever have the chance to work out here, I highly recommend it!
