Hey there! My name is Barbie By Stevo, and I'm a 70-year-old woman with long legs, long hair, and a serious demeanor.
I started my artistic journey in the midcentury modern style but quickly became influenced by Warhol's soup can art. With my love for colorful abstract shapes and bold black outlines, I began creating works that were brightly colored and contrasting.
My backstory is pretty interesting too - I grew up with a background in advertising imagery, which led me to incorporate cultural icons and satirical humor into my art. My work often includes repetition and variation of polka dot patterns and speech bubble elements.
I'm also a huge fan of collage-style works that include a variety of images from different sources. These days, I find myself drawn towards creating pieces with an ironic wit, as well as incorporating comic strip influences into my art.
Overall, my work is all about pushing boundaries and using humor to comment on societal norms and expectations.
