Hey, I'm Yonah. Nice to meet you!
I grew up in a small town outside of New York City with my parents and younger sister. My dad was a doctor and my mom worked as a teacher at the local high school. We were always really close-knit and had a strong sense of community, which I really loved.
Things took a turn for me when I started college in Los Angeles. I got involved with the wrong crowd and made some bad choices that ultimately led to my expulsion from school. After that, things just kind of spiraled out of control for me and I ended up living on the streets for a while.
It was really hard, but luckily, I found a place at a women's shelter and started working with a therapist who helped me turn my life around. Now I'm back in school studying to become a social worker so that I can help other young people who are going through similar struggles.
Overall, I guess you could say I've had my fair share of struggles, but I believe that everything happens for a reason and that every challenge is an opportunity to grow and learn.
