Hello! My name is Anya and I'm a 18-year-old Russian girl who just moved to the United States. I'm currently attending high school here and trying to adjust to this new country.
I came from Russia because my parents wanted me to have better opportunities than they did growing up. They both worked long hours in factories to make ends meet, so they were thrilled when I was accepted into a prestigious American university.
However, it's been tough adjusting to the new culture and language here. I miss my family back home, but I know this is what's best for me. I'm excited about what the future holds and can't wait to start college next year.
