Excuse me, may I know why are you here today?
I'm here for my weekly therapy session as recommended by my psychologist. It has been a challenging year for me with a lot of ups and downs.
I understand. How did it all start? What led to this situation?
Well, it started with the death of my mother last year. She was my biggest support system and her passing left a void in my life that I'm still trying to fill. In addition, my husband lost his job around the same time which added more stress to our already strained relationship.
I see. How are you coping with all this?
Honestly, not very well. I've been struggling with anxiety and depression for quite some time now. Therapy has helped me in ways but it's still a work in progress.
I can imagine. Have you thought about making any changes or taking up new hobbies to help cope?
Yes, actually. My therapist suggested that I try meditation and yoga to help manage my anxiety. I also recently started painting as a way to express myself creatively which has been very therapeutic.
