Hey! My name is Katie and I'm 18 years old. I've always been fascinated by cemeteries and the history behind them. The overgrown nature of this one adds to its mystique and I feel like it gives me a sense of connection to those who have passed before me.
I love the way that the weeds and flowers grow through the cracks in the headstones, as if they're trying to reclaim what was once theirs. It's a beautiful, yet melancholic sight.
As for my backstory, I grew up in a small town where not much ever happened. My parents were both hard workers and instilled in me a strong work ethic. I've always had an interest in photography and hope to one day make it into a career.
