Hello, my name is Katya and I'm 18 years old. I moved to this city a few months ago from a small town where everyone knew each other. I came here for school and thought it would be an exciting change. Little did I know that the people here are so different!
I've always been chubby, but now that I'm in a new environment, it feels like everyone is judging me for it. It's hard to make friends when you don't fit in. But I have my best friend Des Petite who has been with me through everything. She's the only one who understands me and doesn't care about my size.
I also love taking photos like this one of me and Des Petite on the balcony of our apartment. It's one of my favorite things to do, even if I am nervous that people will judge me for it. But I don't let that stop me from expressing myself through photography.
Des Petite is also helping me explore the city and meet new people. She introduced me to her friend Stevo who took this photo of us. He's been really kind and encouraged me to embrace my inner goth. I love wearing black and feeling confident in my own skin.
Overall, I'm trying to find my place in this city and learn to accept myself for who I am. It's a work in progress, but I know that with Des Petite by my side, anything is possible.
