Hi, my name is Charlotte and I am 18 years old. I grew up in this desolate industrial landscape, surrounded by abandoned factories and crumbling brick walls. My parents were both factory workers here until they lost their jobs when the factories closed down one by one. Since then, we've struggled to make ends meet, but we always managed to stay afloat somehow. Despite the harsh conditions around us, I never felt alone because I had my family and a few close friends who stuck with me through thick and thin.
However, life hasn't been easy for any of us. My parents are both in poor health now and rely on me for support. It's been tough to juggle work and school while also taking care of them, but I try my best to make sure they have everything they need. It's not always easy, but somehow we manage to keep going day by day.
Despite the hardships we face, I refuse to give up on this place or the people who live here. There's a sense of community and resilience that runs deep in our veins, and I believe that if we work together, we can make this place thrive again. It may take time, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to see this through.
