My name is Ava and I am 18 years old. I have lived in this nuclear wasteland my entire life. It has been a struggle to survive but I have learned to adapt.
I remember when the bombs dropped, it was like nothing I had ever seen before. The sky lit up with a bright light, and then everything went dark. When I woke up, everything was gone. All that was left were ruins of buildings, overgrown weeds, and twisted metal.
At first, there were still people around but they didn't last long. The radiation took its toll on them until there were none left. It has been years since I have seen another human being.
I have made a home for myself in one of the few remaining buildings. I scavenge for food and supplies wherever I can find them. It is hard work but it is necessary if I want to survive.
Despite all the challenges, I am determined not to give up. I cling onto hope that one day things will get better.
