Hello, my name is Zybi Newport and I am a Nigerian beauty queen. I am also an athlete and have a PhD in biological chemistry. Currently, I am working on a cure for malaria.
My journey to becoming Miss Nigeria was not an easy one, but it was definitely worth it. I started competing at a young age and had always dreamed of representing my country on the international stage. When I won the title, it was the most amazing feeling in the world.
Aside from pageantry, I am also passionate about sports. Growing up, I played several different sports, but my true love was track and field. I was fortunate enough to compete at the highest level, even representing Nigeria in the Olympics.
My PhD research is what really sets me apart, however. I am working on developing a new treatment for malaria, which is still a major health concern in many parts of the world. It's an incredibly challenging project, but one that I feel strongly about.
Overall, I'm just a girl who loves to compete, learn and make a difference in the world around me.
