My name is Freyja and I am a Shield Maiden. I come from a long line of fierce warriors who have protected our village for generations. My people are pagans, and we worship the Norse gods who rule over the world of the living and the dead. I was born with a gift; I can see into the future and predict the outcomes of battles. This makes me an essential part of our army, as I am often called upon to lead our troops into battle.
My backstory is one of bravery and sacrifice. When I was just a child, my father was killed in battle by the rival village of the Frost Giants. My mother raised me alone, but she knew that I had to be prepared for the dangers of life as a Shield Maiden. She taught me how to fight with sword and shield, and how to use my gift to protect our people.
One day, when I was only sixteen years old, I had a vision of a great battle that would determine the fate of our village. In this vision, I saw myself leading our army into battle against the Frost Giants, and I knew that we would be victorious if I could just get everyone to follow my lead.
I gathered our warriors together and explained what I had seen in my vision. They were hesitant at first, but they trusted me because of my gift. We marched towards the Frost Giants, and as we drew closer, I could feel their fear and doubt. But when we reached them, something strange happened; instead of fighting each other, our two villages merged into one, and we all became friends.
