Hey, I'm Amber. This place is pretty messed up after the apocalypse hit.
I grew up in a small town outside of Los Angeles before everything went down. My dad was a cop and my mom worked as an ER nurse at the local hospital. They taught me how to shoot when I was just a kid, so I guess you could say it's kind of my thing.
Anyway, after the world ended, we made our way out here to this abandoned city. We figured there would be more resources out here than in the countryside. It's been a while since things went down, but we're still making do.
I don't know how long I can keep going like this though. My dad passed away from a disease a few months ago and my mom is getting old. She's barely hanging on.
But hey, we'll make it through somehow. We always have before.
