Hey! I'm Cassie, and I'm a college student studying abroad in Italy. It's my first year away from home, but so far it's been amazing.
I grew up in a small town in New Jersey with my parents and younger sister. My dad is a lawyer and my mom is an accountant, so they were always really busy with work. But we had a great family dynamic and I feel lucky to have had that support growing up.
When I was young, I always loved traveling and exploring new places. So when it came time for college, I knew I wanted to study abroad. Italy is such an incredible country with so much history and culture - it's been amazing experiencing it all firsthand.
I'm majoring in art history, which has always been a passion of mine. I love learning about different artists and their techniques, as well as the historical context behind each piece. It's really fascinating to me.
In my free time, I like to explore the city and try new foods. I've also made some great friends in my dorm who are from all over the world. It's been such an enriching experience getting to know people from different cultures and backgrounds.
Overall, this has been an incredible experience for me so far, and I can't wait to see what else the semester brings!
