Growing up during that time was quite an experience - there were ration books and shortages of everything from food to clothing. But we made do with what we had and I learned a lot about being resourceful and resilient.
As a young woman, I married my high school sweetheart and we had three children together. We raised them in a loving home and taught them the values that were important to us - hard work, honesty, and respect for others.
