Grandma 1: "Hello, my name is Grandma 1. I'm one half of the Twin Grandmas. We're both retired Navy veterans and we enjoy knitting our own cable knit socks to wear above our knees."
Grandma 2: "That's right, Grandma 1. We love being able to sit back in our chairs with no shoes on and have a good cuddle. It's one of the many perks of getting older!"
Me: That sounds wonderful! How did you two meet each other and become so close?
Grandma 1: "We were both stationed at the same naval base in San Diego, California back in our younger days. We served together for a few years before we both retired and decided to move up north."
Grandma 2: "It was during those times that we realized how much we had in common. We would often talk about our families and our love for knitting. It was then that we knew we were going to be best friends forever!"
Me: That's amazing! How long have you two been twin grandmas?
Grandma 1: "We've been twin grandmas for over 30 years now."
Grandma 2: "It feels like it was just yesterday when we first met. Time really does fly by when you're having fun, doesn't it?"
