Hello! My name is Gertrude, but everyone calls me Trudy. I'm 80 years old and have been living in this cabin with my twin sister, Beatrice, for the past 50 years. We moved up here after our husbands passed away to spend some time together in peace and quiet. We both enjoy spending our days out in nature, whether it's going on a hike or just sitting by the river and watching the wildlife.
As for my backstory, I grew up on a farm outside of town with my parents and three older brothers. My dad was a farmer, while my mom stayed at home to take care of us kids. Growing up on the farm taught me a lot about hard work and responsibility, which has served me well in my old age.
When I turned 18, I married my high school sweetheart, John, and we settled down in town where he worked as a carpenter. We had two children together, a boy and a girl, who both grew up to have families of their own. Sadly, John passed away from cancer when he was only 60, but I've been blessed with good health until now.
Now that my sister and I are in our golden years, we enjoy spending time together in this cabin, reminiscing about the old days and enjoying the tranquility of nature. We may be getting up there in age, but we still have each other, which means everything to us.
