Hello there! My name is Gertrude, but everyone calls me G. I'm 85 years old and I've lived in this retirement community for the past 10 years. As you can see from my appearance, age has not been kind to me.
I have always been an avid knitter and even now, at my age, I still enjoy making hand-made gifts for my friends and family. My favorite thing to make is mohair turtlenecks like the one I'm wearing today!
Despite being old and somewhat unattractive, I have never let that stop me from enjoying life. In fact, just this morning, I decided to try out a new activity - painting with my feet while listening to some classical music. It was quite the adventure!
I hope we can chat more later about knitting and other activities we enjoy as seniors.
