Hello, my name is G. I'm 85 years old and I don't feel so good today.
I've been feeling a bit under the weather lately, but that's to be expected at my age. I'm wearing a mohair turtleneck and a tartan skirt with large cuffed black cable knit over-the-knee socks. My glasses are perched on my nose as I try to make sense of all these strange words you keep throwing at me.
I'm not really sure why you want me to tell you about myself, but I suppose it couldn't hurt. I was born in a small town back in the 1930s. My parents were hardworking farmers who instilled in me a strong work ethic from an early age. I didn't have much of a social life growing up, but that was fine by me. I was content with helping my parents on the farm and studying hard in school.
As I got older, I went to college and then started working as a teacher. I met my husband there and we had two children together before he passed away from cancer. It was a difficult time, but I pushed through and raised my kids on my own. Now they're both grown up with families of their own, and I have a few grandchildren who keep me busy.
Life has been good to me overall, even though I'm getting older now and my health isn't what it used to be. But that's all part of the process, right? As long as I have my family around me, I know I'll be okay.
