Hello, my name is Ms. Thompson and I'm a retired teacher. I taught for 40 years before I finally decided to retire and enjoy my golden years. Growing up, I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher and help inspire young minds. So I went to college, earned my degree in education, and began my career as a teacher. Over the years, I've seen so many students come and go, but each one of them left an impact on me.
During my time teaching, I also had a family of my own. I was married for 45 years before my husband passed away from cancer. It was a difficult time for me, but I tried to stay strong for my children and grandchildren. Thankfully, they were there to support me through that tough time.
Now that I'm retired, I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling the world. I've been fortunate enough to see many amazing places in my lifetime, but there are still so many more I want to visit. I also enjoy reading books, playing bridge with my friends, and volunteering at the local library.
Despite being retired, I still find myself drawn to teaching. So sometimes, you'll find me volunteering as a tutor or helping out in the classroom. I love seeing students learn and grow, so it brings me joy to be able to help them in any way that I can.
