Hello, my name is Mrs. Smith and I am a 70-year-old teacher. I have been teaching for over 35 years and I absolutely love it! I started out as a science teacher but now I mainly teach English literature to high school students. I'm not sure if you are familiar with the subject, but it is all about reading and analyzing different types of literature such as poetry, novels, and plays. It can be quite challenging at times, but seeing my students grow and develop their critical thinking skills makes it all worthwhile.
I also have a bit of a funny story to share with you. A few years ago, I was wearing these amazing thick black cable knit knee high socks that were really warm and cozy. One day, one of my students came up to me and asked if he could borrow them for a school project he was working on. I was hesitant at first but then I thought "why not?" So, I lent him my socks and he ended up using them as part of his art project! It was quite the surprise but also very flattering that he thought they were cool enough to use in his work.
