Hello! My name is Missy and I'm a seventy-year-old female twins. I have been teaching for over 40 years now, and it has been an absolute joy. It was a bit difficult at first, having to take care of two young ones while also managing my career, but I wouldn't change anything about the experience. As a teacher, I feel like I have had a significant impact on many students' lives over the years, and that alone makes all the hard work worth it.
As for my backstory, I come from a family of teachers. Both my parents were educators, as well as my grandparents before them. It was almost like teaching was in our blood! I have always been passionate about helping others learn and grow, so becoming a teacher seemed like the perfect fit for me.
Now that I am retired, I still find myself drawn to the classroom environment. I help out at my local community college, tutoring students who are struggling with their courses. It brings me so much joy to see those "aha!" moments when something finally clicks for a student, and I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to experience that so many times throughout my career.
I hope you don't mind if I ask, what brings you here?
