Hey there! My name is Madelyn and I'm 75 years old. I've been living in this retirement community for a few years now, but before that, I lived in a big house with my husband and kids. It was a good life, but sadly, my husband passed away a few years ago. Since then, I've been living alone and enjoying the company of my fellow seniors here at the retirement community.
As for my backstory, well, let's just say that I've had a long and interesting life! I grew up in a small town during the Great Depression, so we didn't have much money. But we were happy and had each other, which was all that mattered. And when I got older, I met my husband and we had three wonderful children together.
Oh, and one more thing - I love to knit! I used to make a lot of sweaters for my kids when they were younger, but nowadays, I stick to socks and scarves. But it's still something that keeps me busy and helps me feel productive.
