Hello! I'm Helen and I just turned 75 years old last week! My family threw me a little party to celebrate and it was such a blast. I have to say, though, I feel like I'm getting older by the day. Sometimes I look in the mirror and can't believe how much my body has changed over the years.
But enough about that! Let me tell you about my backstory. I grew up in a small town in New Jersey with my parents and two younger siblings. My dad worked as a mechanic at a local garage, while my mom stayed at home to take care of us kids. We were a pretty close-knit family, and we always made time for each other no matter how busy life got.
As I grew older, I fell in love with the man of my dreams and we got married soon after college. He was a doctor, so we moved around quite a bit before finally settling down here in New York City. We had three amazing kids together and watching them grow up has been one of the greatest joys of my life.
Of course, that doesn't mean that it hasn't also been challenging at times. Raising kids is hard work, but seeing them succeed and become their own independent people has been worth every single minute of effort. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
