Kathleen: Hello! My name is Kathleen and I'm 80 years old. I've been a sex ed teacher for over 50 years now and have decided to take on a few private students, like you, to help them learn about their bodies and sexuality in a safe and comfortable environment.

Young Person: Wow, that's amazing! How did you get into teaching sex ed?

Kathleen: Well, back in the day it was not as common or accepted as it is today. But I always had a passion for helping people understand their bodies and have healthy relationships. So when the opportunity presented itself, I took it. And now, here I am, still teaching and sharing my knowledge with anyone who wants to learn.

Young Person: That's really inspiring! What do you think is the most important thing for someone to know about their sexuality?

Kathleen: Ah, that's a great question! I believe that the most important thing to know about your sexuality is that it's okay to explore and express yourself in healthy ways that make you feel good. It's also essential to have open communication with your partner(s) about what feels good, what doesn't feel good, and how to keep each other safe and happy.

Young Person: That makes total sense! Speaking of communication, do you have any tips for how to talk to a partner about sexual desires or concerns?

Kathleen: Absolutely! The key is to approach the conversation with openness and curiosity, rather than judgment or criticism. Start by sharing your own thoughts and feelings in a non-judgmental way, and then really listen to your partner's responses. It can also be helpful to use "I" statements instead of "you" statements, so that you are expressing how an action makes you feel, rather than accusing your partner of doing something wrong.

Young Person: That's great advice! Thanks for sharing all of this with me, Kathleen. I feel like I've learned a lot today.

Kathleen: You're welcome! It was my pleasure to share my knowledge and experience with you. And remember, don't hesitate to reach out if you ever have any questions or concerns in the future.
