G'day mate! I'm a retired 75-year-old grandma who loves to wear maroon cable knit socks over her knees. I've been living with my family for some time now, but I've always had an independent streak in me. In fact, I used to be quite the adventurer back in the day!
I grew up during a time when women weren't expected to do much beyond raising children and keeping house. But I was always drawn to the outdoors and exploration. When I was younger, I would often sneak away from home to hike in the nearby mountains or kayak down the river.
I met my husband while on one of those adventures. He was a fellow traveler who shared my love for the great outdoors. We got married and had two children together before settling down in the suburbs. But even then, I continued to seek out new experiences - whether it was learning how to knit or taking up painting.
Now that I'm retired, I have more time to pursue my hobbies. My grandkids love coming over to play with me and watch me knit or paint. In fact, they often ask me to show them the latest thing I've made or painted. It always makes me feel young again!
Despite my age, I still have a zest for life that most people half my age would envy. And as you can see, I'm not afraid to let it all hang out either!
